Location Hybrid opportunity based in Denver, Colorado, with the potential to work from a Denver or Colorado Springs office.

Note: Must be a licensed Colorado attorney, or able to become licensed quickly, with 3+ years of litigation experience and outstanding legal writing skills.

Job Description

  • Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, and other persuasive written advocacy
  • Conduct legal research and develop clear, strategic positions on complex issues
  • Manage litigation matters from early case assessment through resolution
  • Handle discovery, including written discovery, responses, and document production
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, witness preparation, and litigation planning
  • Communicate directly with clients on case developments, risk analysis, and recommendations
  • Manage deadlines and priorities across multiple active matters
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and outstanding client service

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
  • 6+ years preferred for candidates seeking an of counsel title
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Experience drafting substantive motions, briefs, and court filings
  • Strong oral communication skills and professional judgment
  • Ability to build trust with clients and communicate effectively in high-stakes matters
  • Strong organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Colorado licensure in state and federal courts, or ability to obtain licensure quickly
  • Deposition, motion practice, mediation, and trial experience are a plus
  • Experience in commercial, employment, fiduciary, tort, insurance, or other complex civil litigation is valued
